The electrical system uses concealed wiring for safety and appearance, with a consumer unit and circuit breakers, fluorescent or LED tube lights, and well-placed power outlets; exterior lighting on a photocell supports safe night access. The floor is a marine-grade or structural plywood subfloor topped with heavy-duty vinyl or epoxy coating to resist wear from foot traffic and rolling chairs.
