20ft Shipping Container – Used, Matte Black Side Roll-Up

This is a 20-foot used shipping container finished in matte black and modified with a 12-foot roll-up door set into one long side. The original double doors at the end are retained, so you can load pallets end-on or run a forklift straight in through the side opening without swinging anything into the aisle. It is a practical unit for a yard, a job site, or a customer-facing setup where the standard container look is not wanted.

The side opening is the reason to choose this unit over a plain 20-footer. Cutting a 12-foot aperture into a sidewall removes a stressed panel, so the opening is framed in with a welded steel header and jamb assembly that carries the load back into the corner posts. The shutter runs in guide channels on either side of that frame and seals against a brush strip and bottom rubber when it is down.

In practice that changes how the box gets used. A standard container is loaded from one end, which means anything at the far wall has to come out past everything in front of it. With a side opening you reach two-thirds of the floor area directly from the outside, which is what makes these units popular as tool cribs, mobile parts stores, and market or event stalls.

This unit is sold used. Expect the cosmetic marks that come with prior service — dings in the corrugation, a repaired patch or two, and door gear that shows wear. The respray covers the shell, not the interior, so the inside walls remain bare corrugated steel.
