These 20-foot used shipping containers give you a practical option for on-site storage, material containment, or a range of project uses. Made from heavy-duty COR-TEN steel, they stand up to the weather while keeping tools, equipment, or inventory securely enclosed. Units are sourced from decommissioned commercial shipping fleets; each one has been inspected for structural integrity and is sold as a standard used container.
Key Features
- Robust Steel Construction: weathering COR-TEN steel engineered for durability and corrosion resistance.
- Standard 20ft Dimensions: conforms to standard intermodal shipping dimensions for consistent planning of space and transport.
- Secure Locking Mechanism: door lockboxes accommodate standard locking devices to protect stored goods.
- Ventilated Design: passive vents at the upper corners promote airflow and cut down condensation.
- Weather-Resistant: rubber weather-sealing gaskets on the doors block rain and wind when closed.
- Wooden Flooring: treated marine-grade plywood supports concentrated loads and resists moisture damage.
These used containers offer a simple, functional way for businesses and individuals to add storage capacity. Construction firms use them to secure materials at job sites, warehouses use them for overflow inventory, and property owners use them for residential or agricultural storage. Since they are retired from active cargo service, they show the cosmetic wear typical of transit, including minor dents, scratches, and surface rust. This patina is characteristic of used equipment and does not affect the unit's structural integrity.
The double doors on one end open fully to 270 degrees for wide access when loading pallets, machinery, or bulky items. Inside is a hollow, open space with flat steel walls. No modifications have been made, leaving each unit as a blank slate for custom shelving, partitioning, or other specific uses.
These containers are intended for ground-level, stationary use. A level, compacted base such as gravel or concrete is recommended to support the unit and help with drainage. As with any used container, buyers are encouraged to inspect the unit in person before purchase to confirm it meets their visual and structural standards.

Ordering Multiple 20ft Storage Containers for One Site
When a project needs more than one box, buying 20ft storage containers as a group changes how you plan rather than just what you spend. Matching units line up neatly, share a single pad specification, take the same padlocks and shelving, and can be labelled by trade or department. These are used containers retired from commercial shipping service, inspected for structural integrity and sold as standard used stock.
Multiple containers also let you separate what should never share a space — clean materials away from fuel and chemicals, finished goods away from waste, one crew's tools away from another's.

Multi-Unit Jobsite Storage Container Layouts
How you arrange several containers matters as much as how many you buy. A little geometry up front saves a lot of walking later.
- Two units facing each other with a covered gap between them as a work bay
- A line along a boundary, doubling as a windbreak and a site perimeter
- One container per trade on a construction site, each with its own key holder
- An L-shaped arrangement creating a secure compound in the corner
- Separate units for clean stock, dirty plant, and hazardous or flammable materials
Planning Delivery of Several Containers
Each container travels on its own truck, so plan for a sequence of drops rather than a single event, and mark the exact positions before the first arrives. Every unit needs level bearing under all four corners, the container length plus roughly 40 ft of straight clearance for a tilt-bed placement, and about 15 ft overhead. Leave at least a few feet between boxes so you can walk the gap and paint or inspect the sides later. Delivery is a flat $500 per unit to all 50 states, scheduled after your order is confirmed and each route is quoted. Frequently Asked Questions
Will the containers all look the same?
Used containers come from different operators and lines, so paint colours and markings usually vary between units even when the size and grade match. If a uniform appearance matters for a customer-facing site, plan on painting them after placement, or tell us what you need before ordering and we will let you know what is realistic.
Can containers be placed side by side touching each other?
They can, but leaving a gap of at least two feet is better practice. It lets air move between the boxes, gives you access to inspect and repaint the side walls, and prevents water and debris collecting in a tight seam. Doors also need their full swing arc, so keep the door ends clear.
How is delivery charged on a multiple container order?
Shipping is a flat $500 per container to any of the 50 states, and each unit is scheduled and quoted by route once your order is confirmed. If your site can only receive one truck at a time, or has restricted access hours, tell us at the time of ordering so the drops can be sequenced sensibly.
