We want you to be satisfied with your container. We offer a 30-day return window on delivered containers. Because a shipping container is a multi-ton freight item, a return is not like sending back a parcel — please read the terms below before you order, so there are no surprises. Damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery (see below); those are resolved at our cost.
1Inspect Your Container at Delivery
Always inspect your container at the time of delivery, before the driver leaves. Check the structure, doors, seals, flooring, and overall condition against what you ordered. If you find significant damage or a discrepancy, note it on the delivery paperwork and contact us right away.
2Reporting a Problem
Report any defect, damage, or discrepancy within 48 hours of delivery by emailing sales@cargocontainerhub.com or calling (440) 379-3940, including photographs where possible. Prompt reporting helps us resolve issues quickly.
3Order Cancellations
You may cancel an order for a full refund any time before it is dispatched. Once a container has been dispatched or delivered, the order is considered fulfilled and standard cancellation no longer applies, except as described below.
430-Day Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, the container must be in the same condition as delivered — undamaged, unmodified, and not permanently installed or built upon.
Please understand what a return involves before you order. A shipping container weighs several tons and cannot be returned by mail or parcel carrier. If you return a container because you changed your mind:
- You arrange and pay for return transport by tilt-bed or roll-off truck. This is a freight haul billed by the carrier at commercial rates — it is not the $500 flat delivery rate, and on most routes it costs substantially more.
- A restocking fee of 15% of the container price is deducted from your refund.
- Your original $500 delivery charge is not refunded, as that service was already performed.
To start a return, contact us with your order reference before arranging any transport, so we can confirm eligibility and the return address. Once the container is received and inspected, your refund is issued.
None of the above applies to a damaged, defective, or not-as-described container — those are our responsibility and are resolved at no cost to you, as set out in the next section.
5Damaged or Defective Containers
If your container arrives with significant damage or an undisclosed defect, we will work with you on an appropriate remedy — which may include repair, replacement, or a refund — based on the nature of the issue, provided it is reported within the timeframe above.
6Custom & Modified Orders
Containers that are custom-built or modified to your specifications are made to order and generally cannot be cancelled or returned once production has begun, except in the case of a defect in our workmanship.
7Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are always returned by the same method you paid with. Card payments are refunded to the original card — typically within 5–10 business days of approval, though how quickly it appears on your statement depends on your bank. Bank-transfer payments are returned to the originating bank account on the same timeline. We will never ask you for new bank details in order to issue a refund. Any non-refundable charges (such as completed delivery or the restocking fee) are deducted where applicable.
