Shelving is supplied as part of the build, and layout adjustments are handled at order stage rather than after delivery. Tell us what you intend to store, particularly anything long, heavy or awkward, and the arrangement can be planned around it. Once the unit is on site, shelving is bolted or welded steel and is not designed for casual rearrangement.
Does the container need a concrete pad?
No. A level, well-drained base is what matters. Compacted gravel with blocking or railroad ties under the four corner castings is the most common setup, and it keeps the frame square and the underside ventilated. A slab is fine too, and helps if you plan to roll heavy equipment in and out. Avoid soft ground that will settle unevenly.
How much clearance does delivery need?
Allow the container length plus roughly 40 feet of straight, firm approach so a tilt-bed truck can slide the unit off, along with about 15 feet of overhead clearance for wires, eaves and tree limbs.
